A few months ago, I received a message from someone who said “I see you may be interested in purchasing real estate in New Zealand.” Really?! How, why, and what on earth is it about my profile that gives you that idea in any way?! Today we get hit up by plenty of attempts to connect on LinkedIn, and sadly most are not a good fit.
We’re busy, we are getting more and more selective about where we spend our time - so be respectful of this!

One of the best ways I’ve found to show respect and connect in a meaningful, relevant way is to do my research - and what I recommend for you as well. 

One of the best tools to help you reach out to a highly relevant audience, in a meaningful way is by using LinkedIn’s premium service tool Sales Navigator. As with nearly any tool today, it can be abused, overused indiscriminately, but what I’m talking about is again, using this as a tool to make the right connections in the right way.
